Located high in the Alpujarra hills Bubion lies midway between its neighbours Pampaneira and Capileira within the Sierra Nevada Natural Park. With its white-washed houses and buildings the town has the charm and feel typical of the many towns to be found in this area.

As with most of the Alpujarran towns the local economy is reliant on adventure tourism and provides an ideal base from which to enjoy numerous outdoor pursuits and there are a number of bars and restaurants in which to relax after a hard days hiking!

Follow the signs for the Ruta Barrio Bajo (lower neighbourhood) and allow yourself to get lost in the many cobbled streets of the old town area.
