The Loro Sexi bird park is in the town of
Almunecar. The park entrance is on Calle Bikini from here it climbs the slope of the hill beneath the castle walls (
Castillo de San Miguel). It is a popular tourist destination and is enjoyable for all ages. There are around 1,500 birds from 120 different species on display including doves, peacocks, parrots, cockatoos, macaws, swans, ducks, ostriches and peacocks. The park has tree-lined walkways and a cactus garden . In the summer there are regular parrot shows to entertain the children.
