Hi all, just wanted to say hi and introduce ourselves.

We are moving to our new home just south of Montefrio at the end of October 2007

Busy trying to work out how to get our stuff there and as to whether we should buy a LHD in the Uk or when we get to Spain.

Good luck with the move, Iīm sure youīll love it here.

Shopping around you can get good used cars here for a fair price. It certainly makes things easier in the long run.

Best advice is that all used cars should carry a 1 year mechanical guarentee as standard. Itīs the law now since september 2005 apparently. Any that donīt offer a guarentee or want to charge extra for this, walk away. icon_wink.gif

My Citroen Berlingo 1.9d cost me €6,000 and is a 1998 model. Although itīs very pricey for itīs age and you would never pay that for it in the UK, it was in pristine condition when I bought it with very low mileage. Commercial or combi vehicles do hold their value here though for sure.

Weīve got another car, a Renault Megane Scenic 4x4 from the same dealer which is 2 years old. We paid €12,500 for that. We had a minor fault, but had to use a pickup truck to get us to their garage. They paid for the pickup truck and honoured their guarentee in full.

You could probably pick up either of these motors on the coast alot cheaper, but having seen friends buy vehicles there, have problems and the dealerīs not interested, I would think twice.
