This small town is located 92km south of Granada City in an area known as Alpujarra Baja (lower Alpujarra). It sits on the slopes of the Contraviesa mountain range and is a very short drive from the coast.
The subtropical climate is ideal for fig cultivation aswell as the growing of grapevines from which the popular local wines are produced.
As with the neighbouring town of Polopos, Sorvilan is a small farming village with an unsophisticated feel. Services are also limited here but a wider variety of facilities and amenities can be found a short drive away in the larger town of Albunol. Another ideal place for those who enjoy the quiet, away from it all life and who appreciate beautiful natural countryside.
Sorvilan is one of the many towns & cities in the beautiful region of Granada Spain. Discover Granada Costa Tropical with the history, local information, property sales and holiday listings at Viva-Granada.com
