Located in the very south of the province, Torrenueva is just a 10 minute drive from the larger town of Motril and just under 80km from Granada City.
Up until the mid-20th century this was nothing more than a sleepy little fishing village. Despite its rising popularity with tourists in the last few decades it has remained relatively unspolit by the demands of mass tourism commonly seen in many other towns along he Spanish coast and retains many customs and traditions from its past.
The town itself consists of a long, narrow strip of urbanised area just under 2.5km in length and is ideally situated between the coastal foothills of the Sierra de Lujar range and the beautiful blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The beach stretches almost all the way along the front aswell as a 'paseo' - promenade.
Torrenueva is one of the many towns & cities in the beautiful region of Granada Spain. Discover Granada Costa Tropical with the history, local information, property sales and holiday listings at Viva-Granada.com
